The status is Active. Responsive activity exists across the Call’s broadband, spectrum, and reporting components. Federal broadband programs prioritize rural, remote, underserved, and Indigenous communities through the Universal Broadband Fund and related high-speed Internet targets. ISED publishes progress toward universal 50/10 Mbps access, which provides public reporting against national connectivity goals.³ The spectrum element is addressed through ISED’s Indigenous Priority Window for access spectrum licences in the Cellular and PCS bands The CRTC Broadband Fund supports rural, remote, and Indigenous connectivity projects and is developing an Indigenous stream to reduce barriers for Indigenous applicants. Indigenous-led and regional evidence also exists through National Indigenous Connectivity Inc., First Mile connectivity work, and project-level investments such as federal-Ontario funding for First Nations Cable to connect Indigenous households at Six Nations of the Grand River. The evidence does not show full connectivity or a permanent all-band Indigenous spectrum set-aside, but active implementation is underway.
